  • Needham & Company recommends BUY for RNOW
    In an October 11, 2010 company update, investment banking firm Needham & Company makes a BUY recommendation for RightNow Technologies (RNOW). Following their discussions with a handful of RightNow customers and partners as well as CEO Greg Gianforte to gain an understanding on the B2B versus B2C customer service and support opportunity, the investment banker suggests that the B2C market opportunity is driven by a set of more complex business requirements, which benefit RightNow’s increased focus on high volume B2C. The firm believes that investors’ concerns around the cloud offering (ServiceCloud, which is better suited for B2B) are well overstated, and have helped to create a RNOW buying opportunity that is compelling in their view. Needham makes a BUY recommendation ahead of broader recognition of the company’s clear differentiation versus, improving sales execution, broadening market opportunity (driven by some key product cycles), and mildly improving demand environment, which could drive multiple expansion over the next year. The investment bankers estimate that 2012 cash flow could reach $100 million, which highlights the attractiveness of valuation compared to current levels. End
